About Us

Faculty Minds Mental Health Clinic

“Growth occurs when individuals confront problems, struggle to master them, and through that struggle develop new aspects of their skills, capacities, views about life.” – Carl Rogers.

Faculty Minds was envisioned by our founder and director Mr. Shreemant Yadav. During his launching years in the industry he found a huge discrepancy between the need of the population and the complete lack of a genuine, human centric and empathetic professional setting. The most troubling site for him was the insensitive treatment of people with personal or mental health challenges.

Adolescent Counselling

The adolescent period in a person’s life is one of the most important and challenging phases while growing up.

Children Counseling

Young children are constantly learning from their environment and experiences. They tend to be very observant, alert and easily grasp non-verbal nuances of their interactions with their family.

Women’s Counselling

Women’s counselling is often considered under the purview of adult counselling; however, we provide specialised therapy curated to help the women of today.

Family Therapy

Family either break us or makes us.’ This statement holds true for every individual going through life. Our family gives us more than genes in heredity.

Frequent Questions asked by Clients

When should I seek counseling?

Generally, clients approach us with long standing and chronic problems, which
have persisted over time. However, people also seek counseling for troubling events which causes them emotional discomfort. If you feel you are not able to control your emotions and experience repetitive thoughts, which seem to be automatic and intrusive, then seeking counselling is appropriate for you. Also, if you are prescribed medications or diagnosed with a disorder, it’s of paramount importance to see counseling. We have had many people reach out to us to explore more about themselves and start on the path of self-actualization in therapy too.

What is the difference between a Psychotherapist/Psychologist and a Psychiatrist?

A Psychiatrist is a medical degree acquired after MBBS degree. A psychiatrist usually focuses on the brain hardware and chemical imbalances.
A Psychologist/Psychotherapist holds a degree of Post-Graduation in Counseling or Clinical Psychology. A psychologist is trained to handle the everyday challenges faced by people.
A Psychotherapist is trained to understand human mind, its mechanisms, and functions. A professional psychotherapist holds special training above and beyond the basic degree. A professional Psychotherapist holds a detailed experience of therapy, usually having minimum 1000 Hours of clinical practice.

Do you prescribe medication and is it necessary?

We do not prescribe medicines. However, we work diligently with people on medications. We also provide psychotherapy support to people diagnosed with clinical disorders and are put on medications. Some of our clients have successfully stopped medications and have improved their functionality through psychotherapy only. Eliminating any need for medications.

What is the time frame for therapy?

A time frame for therapy program is customized and tailor made for every client. The timeline is based on number of sessions, the frequency of sessions, goals to achieve and improvement in the client. Usually a therapy program goes for a few weeks, having minimum one session each week. The frequency is subject to change according to each client. One disclaimer – A psychotherapist cannot help you achieve your goals in 2 to 3 sessions, as psychotherapy is not about advice giving, problem solving and providing convenient solutions

Can people on psychiatric medications seek counseling? Will it help?

Yes. We regularly deal with clients on medications. A globally recognized standard is to help every client on medications with the support of psychotherapy. This helps in better and faster improvement in the client. Regarding mental health, medications and psychotherapy go hand in hand.

What is therapy and which is suitable for me?

The therapy best suited for you will be based on the goals set by you in guidance with your therapist. We at Faculty Minds adopt an eclectic approach to help clients. The program is created keeping in mind the needs of the client and fastest way to reach prognosis.

My first encounter with a Psychologist/Counselor was devastating!! And I promised never ever to consult or listen to one. A friend introduced me to Shreemant through a WhatsApp support group where I attended a few Zoom interactive sessions. The calmness and positivity of Shreemant had an instant effect!! I began to trust this science and see therapy positively. Thereafter we have had a number of interactions and I also follow Faculty Minds.???? I am thankful to Shreemant and want to express my deep gratitude for bringing back my confidence and having me hooked on to the need for proper guidance. I am currently studying Psychology-that is how strongly he has influenced me.????????????

I have been going to Faculty Minds for almost 6 years now. I have had the best experience with them. Dr Ruchika has been patient and understanding and guided me perfectly through the years. I have also taken JPMR sessions with them in the last 2 months. They have been really helpful to address childhood issues and also to train my mind to change subconscious patterns that I have been applying to most situations through my life. JPMR has made me calmer and made me understand myself more. I am a different person due to the team and their constant efforts. More power to Team Faculty Minds!

Highly recommend! Whether you have anxiety and depression or not, everyone should try therapy once in their life for more clarity towards what kind of a person you are and then working towards being your best self. The whole team is very professional and kind towards clients. I had a great experience with Dr. Ruchika and looked forward to the sessions with her. Therapy if done right, will really be life changing.

After the age of 40 you realize how much baggage you carry in your mind, be it of your childhood, professional or married life. To lighten up your mind, I would not recommend anyone better than Shreemant. He’s just amazing, he goes to the root level of the problem and makes you aware of what’s happening. Awareness I would say is the first step to healing your mind and he does just that. I learnt mindfulness from Shreemant and anyone who has a lot of chaos in their mind, I would highly recommend him. Thank you so much Shreemant for helping me in the awareness and mindfulness journey!
